Day 01: Arrive Christchurch
On arrival at Christchurch Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel. (Self-drive passengers collect your rental car for your exclusive use until the end of the tour package).

Day 02: Christchurch - Dunedin (365 Kms)
Travel south across the Canterbury Plains through Timaru and Oamaru to reach Dunedin early afternoon. The rest of the afternoon is free for optional activities such as wildlife cruises.

Day 03: Dunedin - Te Anau (290 Kms)
The morning is free for optional activities such as visiting Larnach Castle or the Royal Albatross Colony. We head for Te Anau in the afternoon.

Day 04: Te Anau - Milford Sound - Queenstown (420 Kms)
Enter Fiordland National Park and travel through beech forest, passing majestic mountains. On through the Homer Tunnel in time to board your catamaran for the Milford Sound cruise. You will pass Mitre Peak, the highest mountain in the world to rise vertically from the sea. View the Stirling and Bowen Falls as you cruise out to the Tasman Sea. Return to the pier where you re-board your coach for your return journey to Queenstown.

Day 05: Queenstown
Today you will cruise on the vintage 'Old Lady', the TSS Earnslaw,to Walter Peak High Country Farm for an excursion of the Colonel's Homestead. (The 'TSS Earnslaw' is on annual service in June and July and will be replaced with an alternative activity).

Day 06: Queenstown - Mt Cook - Christchurch (600 Kms)
This morning we travel over the Lindis Pass to reach Mt Cook around lunchtime. A rare opportunity to take an optional scenic flight to view Mt Cook's snow fields and glaciers. We continue through to Lake Tekapo and across the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch.

Day 07: Depart Christchurch
Early this morning a tour on the "Hot Air Balloon" is suggested if time permits. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (Self-drive passengers return your car directly at the airport).

Day 01: Arrive Auckland

Day 02: Auckland - Waitomo Caves - Rotorua (370 Kms)
Enroute to Rotorua the highlight is a visit to the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves. This experience is climaxed by drifting silently in a boat on the underground river under the milky way of millions of glow worms on the cavern roof above you. This evening, enjoy a night of truly authentic, traditional culture and entertainment. Join in a time of sharing and feasting to a selection of foods cooked the traditional Maori way on hot stones in an authentic earthen oven.

Day 03: Rotorua
Today's tour includes Te Puia and its Thermal Valley of roaring geysers, steaming rivers and boiling mud pools. Following this, you will travel to Rainbow Springs to view trout and other wildlife and to the famous Agrodome Sheep Show. A ride on the Gondola up to Mt Ngongataha for a buffet lunch and for the more courageous ones, a ride on the "Luge" is included.

Day 04: Rotorua - Wellington (465 Kms)
Departing Rotorua, we head south via Lake Taupo and the Tongariro National Park to Levin and on to Wellington, New Zealand's capital.

Day 05: Wellington - Picton - Kaikoura (160 Kms)
This morning we board the Inter-islander Ferry across the Cook Strait to Picton to connect with The Coastal Pacific train to Kaikoura. (Self-drive passengers return their vehicle prior to boarding the Interislander Ferry. On arrival at Picton, collect your South Island vehicle and resume your exciting journey).

Day 06: Kaikoura - Christchurch (190 Kms)
The morning is free for an optional Whale Watching tour by boat. In the afternoon, travel south to Christchurch.

Day 07: Christchurch - Greymouth - West Coast Glaciers (450 Kms)
One of the world's best scenic train journeys, the Tranz Alpine, winds across spectacular gorges and river valleys, over the massive Southern Alps in Arthur's Pass National Park and through lush beech forest to Greymouth on the West Coast. Continue southwards by coach along the coast to reach Westland National Park and the glacier region. (Self drive passengers travel over the Canterbury Plains to Arthur's Pass en route to Westland National Park).

Day 08: West Coast Glaciers - Queenstown (420 Kms)
Travel through the South Westland Heritage Park and across the rugged Haast Pass. Follow the shores of Lakes Hawea and Wanaka to Queenstown.

Day 09: Queenstown
This is a free day for you to pursue your own activities. Queenstown offers jet boating, lake cruises, bungy jumping, rafting, horse riding, gondola rides and maybe a visit to the Sky Alpine Casino.

Day 10: Queenstown - Dunedin (300 Kms)
Travel to Pukerangi where you will join the spectacular Taieri Gorge Train to Dunedin. (seat-in-coach passengers only, self drive passenger are free to participate in optional activities before driving to Queenstown) .

Day 11: Dunedin - Christchurch (365 Kms)
Depart in the morning for Oamaru and Timaru before crossing the Canterbury Plains to arrive in Christchurch.

Day 12: Christchurch departure

View the Stirling and Bowen Falls as you cruise out to the Tasman Sea. Return to the pier where you reboard your coach for your return journey to Queenstown.

Day 06: Queenstown - West Coast Glaciers (420 Kms)
Travel through the Kawarau Gorge past Lake Dunstan on towards Wanaka. A stop is made in Makarora before crossing the Southern Alps as you enter the Haast Pass. At Knights Point you can view magnificent seascapes. Travel via Lakes Moeraki and Paringa then past Bruce Bay to arrive at the Glaciers.

Day 07: West Coast Glaciers - Greymouth - Christchurch (450 Kms)
Travel along the coast to Greymouth to join the Tranz Alpine Express across the Southern Alps to Christchurch (seat-in- coach passengers only). (Selfdrive passengers travel via Arthur's Pass road en route to Christchurch).
