Day 1 : Munich
Arrive in Munich, the Bavarian Metropolis, close to the Alps and in the heart of Europe. Transfer to your hotel where you can leave your luggage and proceed to take the Hop-On-Hop-Off tour of the beautiful city of Munich. This tour gives a comprehensive view of Munich. This morning you will take a tour to the world famous BMW Museum. Since opening in 1973 the BMW Museum has been one of Munich's leading tourist attractions. Day 3 : Munich - Freiburg
Today, board a train to Freiburg, which is a scenic 4 hour train journey from Munich. Day 4 : Freiburg
Take a train to Lake Titisee, the crown jewel of the Black Forest region, via Hoellental. Continue to Lake Schluchsee with one of the most renowned hiking areas all over Black Forest. The scenic highlight of Titisee is undoubtedly the fantastic setting of Titisee lake whose crystal-clear water attracts thousands of enthusiastic swimmers to the healthy climate of the resort town. Also, visit the Cuckoo Clock factories which this charming town is known for. Return and overnight in Freiburg.

Day 5 : Freiburg - Heidelberg
This morning, take a train to Heidelberg, 2 hours away from Freiburg. Visit the famous Heidelberg Castle, showpiece of German Romanticism, a complex of partially destroyed buildings in Gothic and Renaissance styles surrounded by beautiful gardens and containing the world's largest wine barrel. See the medieval town centre with the mighty Old Bridge and Germany's oldest university, the church of the Holy Spirit and the Knight's House with its precious renaissance façade. Overnight in Heidelberg.

Day 6 : Heidelberg - Cologne
Today you take the train to Cologne (2.30 hours). It is home to more than 30 museums, hundreds of galleries, Romanesque churches and the Cologne Cathedral, a World Heritage Site. You can visit a few of the attractions offered by Cologne, such as the Zoo, the Yakult Children's Opera or the Phantasialand Theme Park. The Hohestrasse and Odysseum Knowledge Adventure Park are other attractions. Overnight in Cologne.

Day 7 : Cologne
Enjoy the Panorama cruise which gives you the opportunity to see the skyline of Cologne from the river Rhine. You will enjoy beautiful views of the city's most important sights such as the famous Cathedral and the fairground, while a commentary will give you information about the attractions as you pass them by. The cruise lasts one hour and covers the former fishing village of Rodenkirchen and then heads northwards to the fairground, where you can enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the city's shoreline from the river. Overnight in Cologne.

Day 8 : Cologne - Frankfurt
Board the train to Frankfurt which is 1 hour away. Arrive and check in to your hotel. In the afternoon take a city tour which will show you the most interesting sights of the former Coronation city of the German Emperors and the modern European Banking Center. The tour will include the historic heart with the Roemer, the famous old city hall, the Cathedral and St. Paul's Church. You will then walk over the Roemer Square and Old Sachsenhausen and see the Goethe House - birth place of the great poet and the international Fair Grounds, the Old Opera and the banking quarter with its skyscrapers and the European Central Bank. Also visit the old Hauptwache, the famous Zeil shopping center, the big towers of the former city wall, the museum banks and one of the largest European rail stations. Overnight in Frankfurt.

Day 1 : Munich
Arrive in Munich the Bavarian metropolis, close to the Alps and in the heart of Europe. You can visit Munich's old town with its 850 years of history and the famous Marienplatz (Marien square). Spend the rest of the day at leisure and visit the spectacular cafes and restaurants or famous shopping squares. Overnight in Munich.

Day 2 : Munich
Today, the Hop-on Hop-off coach tour will take you to all the sights of the city. See the Resicence Museum and the Treasury, the Hall of Fame and the Statue of Bavaria. Visit Nymphenburg Palace and Park as well as the Marshallmuseum and the museum of Nymphenburg Porcelain. Overnight at Munich.

Day 3 : Munich - Nuremberg
The Regional train will take you from Munich to Nuremberg in a little more than 1.5 hrs. Nuremberg's famous landmark, the Kaiserburg (Imperial Castle), towers above the Old town, which is protected by the 5 kilometer long city wall with its many towers. When exploring the beauty of Nuremberg's medieval Old Town one can start at the Koenigstor ("Kingsgate"), from where the timber framed buildings, the Gothic Church of St. Lawrence and the Church of St.Sebaldus can be easily reached by foot. Right next to the Koenigstor there is the Handwerkerhof (craft center) which will make you feel like you are back in the medieval times. Make sure to enjoy a Nuremberg Bratwurst along with a beer or a glass of Frankenwein. Overnight in Munich.

Day 4 : Munich - Salzburg
It takes about two hours to get by Regional train from Munich to Salzburg. In Salzburg you will take the guided Mozart City Tour (approx 1.5 hrs) which includes the visit of the Fortress Hohensalzburg. The tour starts off in front of Mirabell Palace and continues along the Schwarzstrasse and passes the Mozarteum (university of music) and the Marionette Theatre. Further along, you see the County Theatre and Mozart's Residence on the Makrtplatz. The tour takes you across the river Salzach and the Hellbrunn Palace. You will see the Festival House, the Horse Pond and the St Blasius Church before the tour ends on the Mozartplatz. You will also receive a ticket for the fortress Hohensalzburg (up and down with the funicular and entrance to the courtyards). In the evening the Regional train will take you back for your overnight in Munich.

Day 5 : Munich - Lake Chiemsee
In a little more than one hour by train from Munich you will arrive at Prien Main Station. Walk down to the pier from where you will visit the islands of Fraueninsel and Herreninsel by boat. See the Herrenchiemsee New Palace and the King Ludwig II museum. The castle is surrounded by a sizeable park with fountains and gardens which take the parks of Versailles as its inspiration. Also worth visiting is the Augustinian Monastary with the Julius Exter Art Gallery. The island itself today is a nature reserve with a rich forest. In the evening take a boat back to Prien and continue by train for your overnight in Munich.

Day 6 : Munich - Linderhof & Neuschwanstein
The full day escorted tour will first take you to Oberammergau for a photo stop. The coach will then take you to Linderhof Palace, the "Royal Villa" of Ludwig II. Visit this beautiful furnished castle and the park. Also visit Neuschwanstein Castle which seems to be taken out of a fairy tale! Make time to explore the inside of the castle, castle grounds and also the view of Neuschwanstein from the bridge behind it. Overnight in Munich.

This morning depart from Stuttgart and take a train to Baden-Baden (1.30 hours), the foot of the Black Forest. Baden-Baden is famous for its spas and is known as the Grand Dame of German spas. This city, sophisticated yet relaxed, offers a belle époque townscape of palatial villas, stately hotels, tree lined avenues, groomed parks and chic boutiques. Day 5 : Baden - Baden
Spend the day exploring the city of Baden-Baden on your own. You can visit the Baden-Baden museum which offers exhibits on the history of the spa town from Roman times to the 19th century when Baden-Baden became world renowned as a health and gambling resort. The museum also has collections of historical toys, unusual coins and special medals. There is also a Brahms' House, where the famous composer spent his summer months between the years of 1865 to 1874.The Lichtenthal Abbey anchors the southern end of the Lichtentaler Alee, which was built to connect the Abbey to the historic center of Baden-Baden. DAY 4: WEDNESDAY : Berlin - Dresden - Berlin
After breakfast we go on to Dresden. On a city tour you will get to know one of the loveliest cities of central Europe - "Florence of the Elbe" it is called - and see its important sights like the restored Frauenkirche, the Semper Opera House, the baroque Zwinger, the Green Vault and many more. In the late afternoon return to Berlin and small city tour.

DAY 5: THURSDAY : Berlin - Hamburg :
Today we are heading north. Next stop is Hamburg. Enjoy a city tour incl. all the main sights of this impressive city like the Michel, Reeperbahn, Alster and many more before discovering Germany's largest seaport on a harbour cruise. The evening is free for own activities maybe a walk through the Reeperbahn. This amusement quarter originally was visited by sailors who were able to spend a whole 6 month pay in only one happy night. Nowadays, of course, you can also see more "civilised" areas. DAY 6: FRIDAY : Hamburg - Bremen - Hamelin :
In the morning departure for our next stop - Bremen, the Free Hanseatic City with an old tradition of trade and seafaring. See the picturesque market place with the statue of "Roland", the city hall, the cathedral and the Old Town. Driving along the German Fairytale Road we will reach Hamelin, the city of the Pied Piper. In the evening 3-course farewell dinner. Overnight at Hotel Mercure Hameln o.s.

DAY 7: SATURDAY : Hamelin - Frankfurt :
With a delightful old quarter which is a listed site of historical interest, Hamelin is known for the story of the Pied Piper. It became wealthy as a result of its favourable location as a trading centre on the River Weser. This wealth was reflected in its lavishly decorated houses and the town became a jewel of the Weser Renaissance style. Enjoy the historical town and all it has to offer. Today we will drive along the German Fairytale Road until Hann. Münden. We continue south and will make stops along the road depending on the weather and traffic situation.
